Unpleasant stay during a difficult...

Liked: The location is great.
Disliked: Out of town stay due to a death in the family. I had to get a new keycard all 3 times I have stayed due to them not working on the second day every time. I was told by a man working on my floor that they have to be reprogrammed every day….. The staff was rude and unhelpful during checkin and throughout stay. The breakfast was mediocre compared to previous visits. No meat option and biscuits tasted like cardboard. At first checkin for my third stay the heat did not work in our room. Tried calling the front desk twice with no answer. Went down and The front desk lady stated “I don’t know what to do about it and I’m the only one here so I can’t leave the desk. I’ll get you a room on the other end of the hall.” It was with a lot of unnecessary tone and frustration as if it was my fault the heat did not work. I was happy to move rooms. New room, the heat did not work in the bedroom well so we were still cold. There was no remote to the tv in the bedroom. The bottom of the tub felt like sand and was dirty. The bathroom was so tiny you had to squeeze between the toilet and the door to the back of the door to close it then use the toilet, same to get out. Ice machine did not work on floor 3 so you had to take the elevator to another floor to get ice. Not enough maids as I saw them working day to night. Understaffing could be the reason for all the issues.
