Very very disappointing for the...

Liked: Location was good.
Disliked: Check in was ok. The building is very run down and neglected. My room was shabby and very dated which obviously made cleaning difficult for the housekeeping team. Faded and stretched curtains, stained bath, basin taps broken, dirty WC, chipped and flaking drinks tray, carpet detached and no extra pillows or blanket as stated. Everything smelt musty. Entered the hotel at 11pm, night staff didn’t look up from the desk. One member of staff on duty at breakfast who didn’t speak. I wasn’t even asked if I was a guest. Very limited breakfast buffet.

Liked: Very good greeting from the staff. Made us welcome.
Disliked: Food was tasty but breakfast was lukewarm. At dinner then choice was limited

A nice traditional hotel on...

Liked: A good quiet location with nice big rooms and a Bath which was a really nice change from the usual shower. It was also a good long bath I could lie down in. Good facilties in the room.Nice restaraunt and food with helpful staff.
Disliked: The room has some strange electrical sockets which prevented my plugging in my laptop without unplugging the lamp. I am sure it would not be a huge expense to have an electrician replace them to make them more useable.
