Perfect place for couples :)

Liked: Everything was great about this room.......cept for the spa bath was in the actual room! Not in the bathroom room....which made it unusable for a Dad & daughter travelling together! lol! Perfect for a couple tho!! :) We were unaware how this was when booking on a different site. Will definatley recommend this place :)

Cosy, comfortable, quirky cottage.

Liked: Private & furnished courtyard. Upstairs balcony with lake view. Plenty of comfortable seating. Large airing cupboard. Taste of yesteryear with some original features/fittings - coloured "whiteware", retro analog wall clock, bevelled wooden handrail, lovely wooden toilet seats with brass hinges, contoured spa bath for two. Private walkway to hot-water bathing spot in lake and quick access to Lake Taupo's great walk/cycle pathways (bikes & kayaks for hire at site).
Disliked: It was perfect. Will stay again.

Liked: Location is fantastic and pet friendly.
Disliked: Room was dirty, and dated. Curtains filthy and falling off track. Bed uncomfortable and the pillows were of the lowest standard.Dated and very large spa pool takes up signifcant space in bedroom which is weird and makes the floorplan inefficient. Bathroom vanity falling apart. Upstairs poor ventilation, cheap furnishings. Carpet dirty. Windows and blinds dirty.Reception had a terrible smell due to a overly strong fragrance dispenser, was difficult to breathe.Property needs a full renovation.
