Idyllic, attentive staff and amazing...

Liked: It was unique, in a very quiet location, nicely decorated and clean. The food at dinner and breakfast was amazing and I’d return for the restaurant alone.
Disliked: Our room was possibly above the kitchen and there was a constant noise from outside that I presume was some kind of vent or fan. It didn’t run our sleep though.

Beautiful view , clean ,...

Liked: The studio had a stunning view, the inside was clean. The kitchen had appliances we needed kettle ,hob and oven. The shower was nice and the Bramley products in there were lovely. There was two ladies on reception that really stood out to us when we asked about the area they were helpful and ever so friendly. I wish I took their names. The beds were clean and comfy.
Disliked: The glass on the balcony looks like it's never been cleaned lots of green moss, the decking looked slippery ( it's wasn't but we stepped out with caution). There was a misunderstanding with menus, we were shown a menu that had burgers, ploughman's and few other lovely items . We booked in the restaurant to then be given a different menu that was a set price for a 3 course meal that unfortunately wasn't what we were expecting. They accommodated us with burgers and chips which we really appreciated. When we looked online it was the bar menu that took our fancy so it would be nice for that to be explained to know all the options as we could have had steak. We felt very embarrassed as we didn't want to offend the chef but we needed to eat and didn't want 3 course meal that wasn't what we were expecting. Online said that we would be welcomed with home-baked cookies and milk in the fridge and taking our dog with us, there would be a dog bed and dog treats . There was none of these waiting for us. We always take our own dog bed anyway so didn't ask for one. The walk from the suite to the hotel would be nice to have more lighting to show the path as it was pitch black. When checking out I wasn't asked how our stay was, I paid the bill I was given my receipt , goodbye nothing more.

Great place to stay

Liked: The room was very cosy, vary clean. Actual milk in the fridge not just a pot of uht .bathrom/shower was amazing..really enjoyed it.You can go through the gate at the back of the hotel and walk up the hills if you so wish...we did. Very enjoyable.
Disliked: Think the hotel caters for a more specific clients..the dinner menu was above me. I'm sure the dinner would have been very nice ,but wasted on me as I'd just settle for pie and chips. The breakfast was well worth it. Very tasty and good value. Though I will say, I've never used a butter knife in my life.. but I have now..none of this is the hotels fault, it's mine.. yes I would definitely stay there again. It was lovely.
