Wonderful, though food portions were...

Liked: The view was wonderful, the hotel was great and the staff were lovely. Great walking on the doorstep of the hotel and an easy trip into Malvern. Car or taxi required for access.
Disliked: Food - though the food was lovely and beautifuly presented, portion sizes were incredibly small; given the cost of the meals (given that we stayed to go hiking we would have welcomed much larger portions). However appetisers between courses were lovely, though disappointingly almost the same every night. We stayed three nights (Friday-Monday) and were very disappointed that the menu was virtually the same on all three nights and on the Sunday no Roast was offered.

Lovely setting but premier rooms...

Liked: When we went to check in we were told we were in the Coach House in a dog friendly room. We haven’t got dogs and didn’t request this. We were told the hotel was full but after us saying it wasn’t acceptable several times we were offered a room that wasn’t dog friendly but still in the Coach House.Although this room was a better, we wanted to stay in the main hotel. We were eating in the restaurant in the evening and had to walk across in the rain and wind.We were given a part refund. The bar and restaurant was very nice but we noticed the restaurant was quite dirty on the walls and floor. It’s a lovely building with a stunning view so we would book again but I would call the hotel direct unless you have dogs!

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Mahdis Thu, 3 April 2025

Not happy

Disliked: As soon as I turned on the shower, a strong unpleasant smell filled the bathroom. I realized that a clump of black hair was stuck in the drain, which the hotel staff should have cleaned but didn’t. Additionally, there wasn’t enough toilet paper in the bathroom, and since the room was far from the reception, we had to go and request more ourselves. Overall, I was disappointed especially considering this was my third stay at the hotel but my first time in an ensuite room which is quite expensive too.
