We won’t return.

Disliked: There were many dogs inside the hotel, in corridors and in the lounge. It smelled of wet dogs. There were dogs barking during the night, first one then others joined in. I hadn’t noticed anything on the information about the hotel page before booking that reflected the impact of the presence of so many dogs.Our room (127) was positioned next to the bin store, which meant that when the large wheelie bins were being moved there was significant noise and banging on the wall. It’s a hotel that’s big and impersonal. Maybe it should be marketed as a hotel for dogs with their owners.

Great place let down by...

Liked: Overall good hotel, good location and lovely accommodation and breakfast
Disliked: Couldn’t use the pool because it was too busy all weekend and service at the bar was really terrible

Passable

Disliked: The Pool and Spa facilities weren’t available as per the Booking. We were expecting to be able to use them as guests at the Hotel. But were told there was no space without having a Treatment booked not made clear in the Booking details.

Good for a short visit

Liked: Lovely building surrounded by lakes and nice walks. Our room was spacious with a lovely balcony
Disliked: No attention to detail. Bathroom doesn’t have a heater, it was cold and nowhere to adjust room temperatures. There are no hooks in the room and nowhere to dry towels apart from toilet cold bathroom. The kettle shelf doesn’t slide out so difficult to access.
