Liked: The food was fabulous, with a lovely menu to choose from. The hotel was beautiful and was quiet and well looked after. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds were stunning - it was perfect for a quiet stay.

Liked: excellent dinners but limited choice. Great breakfasts nicely served.Attractive grounds around the hotel. It was good to have a comfortable bed and a small fridge in our large bedroom.
Disliked: The maintenance of the building leaves quite a lot to be desired.There was nothing with which to wedge the sash windows open. apart from the good bed, generally poor quality furniture and an overall feeling of fading elegance.

Liked: Breakfast was excellent and highly recommend dining in as we did for three nights. Food was fabulous. We loved the traditional and bygone vibe that isnt there in the chain Hotels and newer builds and its situation is perfect for a peacefulyet accessible location.
Disliked: Only one negative was the shower which was quite small and restrictive with very poor water pressure.
