Nice Hotel

Liked: Staff were so friendly and welcoming. I arrived just after the restaurant closing time but the manager came and took my order so I didn’t go hungry! Room was nice bit dated but very clean and the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice

Very disappointing stay - the...

Liked: Room was clean - bed was comfy - that was it.
Disliked: Room dated , carpet faded and worn especially by bathroom door . Staff on the whole miserable and non engaging - only exceptions were the guy who checked us in and the guy who showed us your room . Breakfast was so disappointing for many reasons . Staff were too busy talking to each other about someone who ill to be clearing tables etc . Had to ask for brown sauce on 2 of the 3 mornings . Hot food Luke warm , poached eggs hard, potato bread not cooked just warmed . Stayed here 8/10 years ago - breakfast was cooked fresh and so much better . Staff on the whole have no idea what customer service is - this needs addressing asap . Would we stab here again - no we would not .

Liked: Breakfast good but could have been better wrt fresh fruit.
Disliked: Left me and my wife with one towel

Decent room, but breakfast disappointing...

Liked: Large clean bedroom, lovely staff on reception, lots of parking.
Disliked: Personally not a fan of buffet breakfasts. Toast was cheap bread, croissants in plastic wrapping, no soda bread, no natural yoghurt, just some yuk caramel yoghurt on offer. For the price, i was disappointed with breakfast.

Liked: Staff were very welcoming.
Disliked: The boy racers along the road in the early hours of the morning. Rooms were too hot so had to leave window open which made the noise seem worse.Finding a hair scrunchie down the side of the bed.The noise at breakfast as they were refurbishing the bar - thought it could have waited until breakfast was over.Breakfast on the second morning was self serve - very disappointing compared with the quality of the breakfast the previous morning when it had been made to order.
