Invasive, intrusive and thoroughly ruined...

Liked: Location and hot tub.
Disliked: There was zero privacy! The staff constantly entered the private area without any warning, making it impossible to relax. There was a window on one side that we closed the curtains on. By the window was a gate into the private area and hot tube area where there was a sliding door into the lounge/kitchen area. The owners kept showing up asking questions. Even if you are within capacity, if you went out in the town and met someone and brought them back, you had to go and report it to the owners. It was like staying with really uptight strict parents and we are middle aged women on a family reunion break who just had our niece stay in addition because she had a drink and we didn't want her driving. We were still within the room capacity, yet were scolded like naughty children. Also, even though we were only talking in the hot tub, no loud music, partying or anything, another guest started being a full on Karen, telling us we had to be quiet at 8:20pm! The time there was ruined. They could have easily knocked on the window before coming around to the private area. God forbid a couple stayed for a romantic weekend and were having sex in the lounge, they would have had a shock! There was also a connecting door to the owners apartment behind a bookshelf, which meant they could hear everything going on in the space. Great location, could have been great, but only if you don't want to speak, or have privacy. Also, the tv constantly buffered, so going inside and watching a movie was also frustrating.

Liked: The views from our room were absolutely beautiful. We were served a delicious breakfast on our deck by our hostess Gail. Couldn’t ask for a more pleasant stay.
Disliked: All was good.

Disliked: We appreciated that ours was a late booking and we were downstairs so next time we would book an upstairs unit for a better seaveiw however the unit was spotless and most comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality.

Very nice inside, needs attention...

Liked: It was a good location, very spacious with all needs catered for. Friendly staff!
Disliked: First impressions count. When accessing the road leading to the property, which also gives access to other upper class homes, one gets the impression of neglect. The property itself needs maintenance and clean-up outside which could make this one of the most sought after destinations in the area.

Liked: Absolutely amazing place, the views were exceptional. Sat on our balcony with a bottle of wine & cheese overlooking the seaReally comfortable bed, good shower, room was spotless & well designed. The ladies who run it were lovely, very helpful with our trip around NZ, even printed maps
