Comfortable and stress free

Liked: Best bed and pillows we have ever slept in. My wife wants to return just for the sleep in the bed.
Disliked: Bar is very sterile but seating area makes up for it.

Clean, lovely, hassle-free

Liked: The hotels decor is stunning. The room was lovely and clean, spacious and had all amenities you would expect in a hotel room. We attended a wedding and the staff were super, check-in was easy and overall great experience.
Disliked: Bar was under-stocked in the function room, and during drinks reception my drink I ordered at the bar had a weird substance in it (can only be described as a desolving toilet cleaner tablet). Staff replaced it without hassle and were super accommodating.

Exceptional

Nice venue if you want...

Disliked: The distance to the city was farther than expected. Construction and traffic made it difficult to find parking once in the city.

Nice stay with exactly what...

Liked: Dinner in evening was lovely . Room was excellent with beautiful furniture and fixtures and the blue lighting affect in the bathroom was very pretty. Beds were comfortable and the ted coffee facilitiess were well stocked. Plenty of bottled sparkling water in the room.
Disliked: was looking for hand lotion or cream in the bathroom at reception floor but had none. Restaurant was a little chilly inside in the evening. Noisy musiic playing from a delivery van at 7am in the morning which was unnecessary and thoughtless of the driver but not the hotels fault.

Liked: Loved the whole beautiful place, lovely staff and comfortable.
Disliked: They apparently are a very popular local wedding venue. As a traveler, we have no way of knowing this. The night we stayed there was a very raucous wedding reception until 4 am!! Sleeping was impossible as our room overlooked the outside party. There wasn’t another room to move us to so we had to stay put (had several drinks at the bar and in no condition to drive). The management was very apologetic and nice and did make it right for us in the end. This is just a warning to do your homework and call before booking there. If there’s no wedding or other loud party then you will LOVE the place. If there’s a party then beware!

Liked: Wonderful hotel on a hill just outside the city, with a spacious and quiet room, a very comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, and an excellent breakfast

Liked: The hotel is very large and very well equipped. The spaces are large and cosy, both private and communal for guests. The breakfast and dinner room is very nice. Breakfast is excellent and plentiful and it was very pleasant to have breakfast with Schubert's music playing in the background. The rooms are large and very clean, the bathroom too. The staff is sometimes very friendly, sometimes less so. When we arrived the receptionist was rather rude, bordering on unfriendly. We asked about dinner and she did not tell us that we needed to make a reservation, so when we went down to dinner there was no room and we had to wait. Fortunately the restaurant manager found us a table and was very helpful. There is plenty of space to park and also to charge electric vehicles.
Disliked: There should be more signposting: the hotel is very large and sometimes it is difficult to find your room. Some members of the staff should be more polite and helpful.
