Superb

Liked: The location is near the underground station and a safe area.
Disliked: Breakfast buffet is good but it’s the same everyday. I wish there’s variety since we stayed for over a week.

Disliked: Location

Great location but a bit...

Liked: Location was excellent as very close to a tube station, room was very clean but a bit outdated. We did not have breakfast but we went to the cafe in the lobby which was good value for London. There was also a shop in the lobby which was convenient. They let us check in early which was very helpful. Great location if you are going to Hyde park, kings road for shopping and travelling from paddington.
Disliked: Bed was a bit small but not too big of an issue. Room was very old fashioned and one of the light bulbs did not work. But other than that very good.

Disappointing

Liked: The room was of good size and had all relevant amenities
Disliked: It was very cold and it took a long time to warm it up

Bad experience

Liked: The night manager tried his best to accommodate us and was very personable
Disliked: Where to start? Dusty room with mould and tatty furniture. I have been un 2 star rooms that look better and cleaner. You could wipe the dust with your finger...check phone photo...you can see the stickiness and dust.Front desk staff were inundated and could barely cope with checkins. But did not have the experience to be front of house and manage people. Our room was not prepared, we asked for an extra bed and after alot of complaining got one at 10pm. It was a campbed not a bed as confirmed. We were too exhausted to challenge it. Kids needed to sleep. It was overbooked with skeleton staff who could not cope. Felt bad for them, but still, their ability to provide what was paid for was awful. And for a 4 star hotel in kensington it was old fashioned, tired and very unglamorous. Management need to seriously consider giving their staff what they need to help customers and re furbish the place. Most importantly, get experienced staff who can manage people properly and provide an experience worth remembering.
