Liked: Great location, in walking distance of train station and shopping opportunities. Good breakfast buffet. Appliances are a bit older and could be updated.
Disliked: Appliances are a bit older and could be updated.

Disappointed

Liked: My room was left unclean even though I left the message to clean it at 10 o clock. The room was only ready on my arrival at 2.30 when I had to check in. ThThere was no shampoo in the bathroom, the bottle was empty. Dust everywhere and crumbs from people before me in the cupboard, disappointing

Liked: Breakfast, lady who greets you at breakfast is fantastic. Hotel receptionist was very helpful (Gemma)
Disliked: Letting us know in advance that our normal route into the underground car park was not available due to building works.Our room that we had requested in advance had been booked out to someone else.Building works, adjacent to the hotel was being carried out late at night and early hours of the morning.

Liked: Staff very pleasant, decorated in main areas was very nice
Disliked: Had a room with a single bed, could have done with a bedside cabinet. Also the door rattled when anyone else opened and shut room doors near us

Great location

Liked: I always stay at the Copthorne when visiting my daughter at the University.It is quite dated but very comfortable and location is great, only 5 minutes from the station and 15 minutes walk to the sea. I always enjoy the bathroom here with full bath...unusual now in hotels.
