lovely river views hotel was clean and tidy

Liked: Great location to train station and concert hall.
Disliked: Air conditioner wasn't providing cool air so the room was hot and stuffy. Out dated taps; shower stiff to turn on.

We liked the hotel and...

Liked: The room was very good and although the view was not spectacular we appreciated not being too far from the lift since our mobility is compromised.
Disliked: We thought the car parking charges could have been made more noticeable on the website prior to booking. It was extremely convenient but rather pricey I thought. Prior awareness may have meant we might have chosen an out of town hotel to stay at.

Good but some disappointments…

Liked: We were upgraded to a suite, which was basically a very large room. That was fine but the bathroom and furniture were a bit tired. Good view of the river. Breakfast was a bit disappointing - especially the coffee. Had to pay £15 on top of b&b price for parking.

Dated room, noisy trains being...

Liked: The view over the river was nice. That's about it.
Disliked: There is a rail bridge quite close and all I heard all night were trains going across it. Not sure if other rooms such as main road facing ones would be affected so much but I'd be very wary on booking a river view room. The room though clean was quite dated and not very modern. The self service hot buffet style breakfast was very disappointing. The bacon was very well done and the hash browns were inedible with them being so over cooked they were literally rock hard!.I'm not expecting Gordon Ramsey style food but at the very least for £11 each for my wife and I we expected a lot better! We complained to the restaraunt supervisor who apologised and said "I think I know what happened"?!?!.We also complained to the receptionist when we checked out and again an apology. No offer of any form of compensation. We'd have been better off going to the local Wetherspoons just 5 mins away for a better breakfast for half the price!.

We went for a night...

Liked: Room and facilities were as expected from a good hotel. Location was central to numerous restaurants and bars, in fact you were spoilt for choice. Breakfast was included, no complaints whatsoever. There was a discounted parking fee for hotel guests and car park was accessed via the lift in the lobby.
