Liked: The hotel is set in a woodland area/park with a Go Ape centre for all ages and an Artisan building to purchase local produce too, the hotel has a moat around the outside of it leading out to a 3 mile or so circular walk alongside its own lake with bird hide to look out at the wildlife and birds beyond..... truly picturesque and stunning!! The room was exceptionally spacious although a little tired in decor but balanced to the age of the building and extremely comfortable. The food was great from the var menu and ample in portion size and breakfast was as good too! We would definately re- visit.

Disliked: Breakfast :-Just had a little breath of warmth to it sent it back ,I asked for exactly the same as what I had chosen as a replacement , I didn’t get back what I had chosen plus the fried eggs had egg shell with in them House keeping were on their toes and three times tried to get into the room before departing time as earlier as just before 9 am The staff were very friendly including the housekeeping Breakfast has always been my favourite part of staying but sorry ruined my stay as that’s my favourite part

Disliked: 20 mins wait at barTable service button didn't work. Roaming bar staff who eventually served us acted like he was on drugs.Offer knife and fork meals but bar has high tables and low seats so ended up eating on lap. Not niceBooked a double room but got room 204 with 2 sagging single beds pushed together so kept rolling into middle and falling between mattresses. Location, building and ambience very nice ruined by bad service and terrible bed.
