Originally a 12th-century Cistercian abbey this 4-star hotel is set in 500 acres of picturesque grounds. A 15-minute drive from Coventry it offers elegant rooms decorated with historical artifacts. Coombe Abbey has been restored to its former glory and combines traditional old features with modern amenities. Wi-Fi is free throughout and parking is possible on site at an extra fee. All rooms have scenic views over the courtyard lawns or beautiful tree-lined drive. Each also has satellite TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. Guests can dine in the hotel's finely furnished à la carte restaurant. There is a changing Sunday lunch menu and the Garden Bar serves afternoon tea with sandwiches scones and clotted cream. Beautiful Hotel, lovely venue, stunning...

Liked: The property is a beautiful period building, stylishly appointed reflecting the character of the premises. Attentive staff, comfortable period rooms. Personally my room was too warm and difficult to adjust however it would suit many in such a traditional old building that are notoriously cool.

Liked: The location, the venue itself and our room were oustanding.
Disliked: The car park is a council one and has to be paid for which isn't acceptable. There should be an arrangement made. This was explained very badly and abruptly also by the receptionist.
