Hotel is choice in Amsterdam

Liked: Everything about this hotel is exceptional. From the moment you walk into the lobby to the welcome of the front desk/staff who were amazing and spent some time to ensure that we know the nice restaurants and facilities in the hotel (thank you Lourdes. You are amazing)The hotel lobby is so beautiful and has a nice atmosphere where you can order warm drinks and. Enjoy the day. The rooms and everything in it are to die for. Once you’re one, you don’t wanna leave. Lots of space and truly a five star hotel. Also suites has two bathrooms Again the hotel is beautifully designed and decorated. Everywhere is just a scene. The welcome sets them apart. They celebrated our anniversary and were so welcoming and warm. The locations are great just across the street from the Van Gogh museum and the national museum. The area the hotel on is very fancy and a minute away from the brands street. Truly will make it the hotel of choice.

Disliked: We were extremely disappointed with our stay, primarily due to the staff’s rude and unwelcoming behavior. I’ve never been treated so poorly in any hotel. We experienced shockingly rude service, enough so to never come back.Moreover, when we arrived, we were informed of a “free upgrade” to a duplex, which we had specifically requested not to have. After a wait, we were given the room we originally booked, but it was much smaller than shown in the photos. The hotel itself is extremely dark, especially in the halls, where we often needed to use flashlights on the stairs.Additionally, the spa was under renovation, which we were not informed about. One of the reasons for booking was due to the spa. When we tried to visit, the staff informed us and claimed they had informed us at check-in, which was not true. Moreover, It was supposedly mentioned on the website, but since we booked through booking.com, we had no prior notice.All in all, the experience was highly disappointing and far below our expectations.
