Liked: Bedroom - clean, decor plain but bed was comfy. Hotel was spotless. Staff friendly & polite.
Disliked: Due to the dreadful weather we decided to go back to hotel for a drink around 11:45pm but the bar was closing up & we didn’t get one. We went to our room expecting it to be warm so we could dry off but the room was cold (we had adjusted the thermostat before we left so it would be warm on our return)Also at breakfast we had to pay extra as everything was not included. As soon as we were shown to our seat we were given a card to fill in with our room number & and an amount for a tip. After we had eaten our breakfast we were given another piece of paper to sign with another amount for a tip even though the service charge had already been added on!!! The staff were more interested in filling in pieces of paper for a tip rather than explaining to us how the breakfast system worked but we worked it out ourselves.

Liked: Given what we didn't like, we explained to the supervisor on duty that we were paying for a 5 star hotel and getting 3 star amenities and service. Things you do not expect at a Conrad. On the way back, we were surprised with an upgrade and provided a credit. The customer service is top-notch at this location. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.
Disliked: We stayed at this location twice during our trip. When we arrived in the city and then when we ended our trip and came back to the city. The first time, we had a room that had very poor shower drainage and was creating a bathtub. The shower ceiling was peeling, one elevator was working, and when we tried to call for room service, it kept going to voicemail, and we were told they were closed, when in fact they were still open.

Liked: The decor and furnishings. Staff very pleasant. Excellent location. Food was delicious. Fantastic cocktails at the bar. Lovely Christmas atmosphere too.

Nice hotel- would stay elsewhere...

Disliked: The extra €20 to park the car (already paid €395 to stay one night) also if you want to order from a menu at breakfast (which was included in our room rate) it was an extra €9 each- only the buffet was included. Buffet was very nice but just felt very unnecessary to have an extra charge for that. We opted to stick with buffet which was lovely- but little things like that take from the experience in my opinion. There was also a card left on the table for an optional gratuity that would be added to the room..again we did leave a tip- but it’s not something I have encountered in any other Irish hotel..
