Nice hotel ruined by bad...

Liked: I used to live in Marion, and I knew by reputation that Comfort Inn and Suites is one of the best of the very few hotels in Marion. The rooms were comfortable and the facilities were pleasant. The location was fine--State route 9 isn't very exciting but it was the end of town where our friends were staying. We were traveling with dogs and we were happy to have a place to stay that was supposed to be on the nicer end.
Disliked: We started smelling weed in the hotel the night we checked in, and it increased overnight. Around 4 a.m. we started hearing pounding on the door of the room next to ours and people going in and out, sometimes sounding like they were arguing. This continued at 5, 6, and 7 a.m., which is when people started arguing and yelling outside the door saying they were there because they heard there was a party there. They were specifically looking for someone to fight. By the time we left they were no longer out there, but I was close to calling the front desk because I was worried about trying to get my dogs out the door if people were agitated. I was also really confused as to how people were wandering in and out of the hotel and clearly smoking weed all night without anyone noticing. This is kind of typical behavior for some of the other hotels in town, but I didn't stay at those for a reason. There were a lot of families with kids staying in the hotel so I'm assuming this isn't the reputation the hotel wants.
