A huge added stress with...
Liked: Breakfast was good. room was warm
Disliked: Booking.com didn't show we would need a card on file once we got to the hotel.so it took 45 minutes to check in at desk and we were supposed to book online and have no hassle at the desk.after this clerk tells me that our Jacuzzi suites is on the 4 th floor and the elevators are broken so we have to use the stairs! I have asthma so this was a big letdown I spent 1 1/12 hours back and forth to car for my luggage( I would have left finding out elevator was broken but I couldn't get a refund !) I would have had to eat 168.00 for the room.!I can't afford this.once we got up to the room the whole floor smelled like cigarettes and fishy seafood smell very strong! Room looked clean enough until I started the Jacuzzi tub.i started the jets and it put gross black mold and dirt looking stuff in the water and left a weird orangish flakey substance all along the edge of tub.needles to say I decided not to get in after refilling and cleaning it twice and it still was releasing black dirt into water. So my stay was very disappointing at a time we really needed the relaxation away from stress and this place just made it worse.i probably won't use this company again. I wish I would have taken photos but I forgot.

Hard time sleeping
Liked: It was very convenient and the staff was very nice
Disliked: I was woke up at 1:30 in the morning with the guest next door talking really loud. This went on for a good hour. The heat/ air in the room was really loud.

Pleasant
Liked: Rooms was nice and big. Beds and pillows was comfortable. Dog friendly. And some of the staff, were the best during the aftermath of hurricane Helene in North Carolina. But one staff member was rude and unfriendly.
Disliked: Some of the staff, Amanda was her first name.

Disaster for us
Liked: Booking.com confirmed reservation at hotel in Asheville unaware that hotel had been made unavailable to public due to hurricane and used for housing for emergency workers. Desk attendant was extremely rude. We arrived at 8pm and discovered no room available. Not good for people in their 70s and no place to go. Booking.com and hotel should have known better. Although had no problem giving up room to exhausted workers, we were there to help too. Tried several times to contact booking.com without success including message and phone getting cut off. Will never use booking.com again and have deleted app
Disliked: Everything but making communication with booking.com easier would have helped. Also happened at previous hotel on trip over trying to change rooms and overpaying

Bad
Liked: We are awaiting our refund, the hotel was closed for the nights we booked because of the detestation of Hurricane Helene. Please issue our refund, since we were not able to stay there.
