After a 12 hour drive...

Disliked: The hotel had no Air Conditioning on 3/30. The hotel is trying to tell me now they had a tech on site that night to fix it. My room was not fixed. Thr front desk lady said the manger was called but doesn't work weekends so she took our name and telephone #. Melissa Jameson the manager was supposed to call me on the 31st. She did not. I called the hotel on the 1st was told she was on a conference call. Today I called left a message and was called back by the "Assistant Manager". After explaing my problem, he told me "other guests had chosen to leave I could have done the same." When Iasked for some type of compensation I was told again, "I could have left" I have reported this directly to Choice Hotels and my case # is 12803375. I got out of that hotel as fast as I could on the 31st to repeat the another 12 hour drive as I done on the 30th. I wasn't even worth taking a shower.

Liked: Great location Right off the interstate with lots of food and shopping options. The staff are very kind. The architectural style of the building, big windows etc causes the temperature to be difficult to control in the room. The interior balconies are giving prison resort vibes. Everything smells like cigarettes even though the property is no smoking. The finishes are old and it's not like super fresh. However I felt safe staying there. And I wasn't terribly bothered by the aging building. Great for a quick stay. Not like a five-star resort or anything but if you are road weary and want to be able to walk out and get some good Mexican food this is the spot. Another thing is that breakfast doesn't start until 6:30. I know I saw a lot of trades workers waiting for breakfast. I am a commuter and I also need breakfast to start at 5:30 or 6:00 in order for me to be able to eat before my train. That is my only suggestion for the management would be to start breakfast earlier.
