Liked: Luke, who checked us in that evening, was phenomenal! I feel bad that he works at this Comfort Inn because the rest of our stay was not good. Luke actually cared, was kind to a person on the phone, told us all we needed to know, and was just an overall good front desk person. I wish I had gone down and asked to switch rooms when I realized the first issue of dog hair in the room.They did have a nice pool, but no hut tub. Also, the towels leave something to be desired in that area and in the room.
Disliked: The room we were given had not been cleaned well. There was dog hair that was swept into the corners of the room, or under the bed. A previous person who had a dog in there allowed the dog to destroy the couch in the room. It was right underneath the cushion, so you couldn't see it as well. These things, while annoying, didn't bother me as much as not having a blackout curtain in the room. And of course, we didn't realize this until we have the kids in bed. At that point, we really didn't want to switch rooms. My spouse was able to put a blanket over top of the window to block most of the light. It's a shame that the front desk has to trust that these rooms are ready to go, but then they are not done like they are supposed to be. The last straw to the entire stay was the fact that when we went down for breakfast. When I went to grab a bagel, I see a bagel at the front of the bread container that has mold on it. MOLD ON A BAGEL IN THE FRONT OF A BREAD CONTAINER WITH OTHER BREAD. Unfortunately, not only is that gross, but, to me who is allergic to mold, it is deadly. Now I could eat nothing in the bread container. I went over to tell the staff at the front desk because the guy who was doing the breakfast was hanging out and talking to the two girls that were at the front desk. When I get over there, they don't greet me, they don't say anything; they just stop talking and stare at me. I tell them you have mold on a bagel in the bread container. The guy who is supposed to be taken care of breakfast I think his name was jason? (I could be wrong on that because none of them were wearing their name tags or their name tags were covered up conveniently.) Anyway he looks at me with a side eye like, what do you want me to do about it? The front desk girl sat there and didn't say anything. The other lady who was on a computer said "gross" and then told the guy what to do. I wouldn't eat or stay again.
