Liked: Every staff member that I encountered was so nice and friendly. It was the best experience I've ever had at hotel.
Disliked: Our room could have used a couple of maintenance touches: scratches on the wall, small amount of red paint on the curtain.

Liked: Front desk is very genuinely nice, sometimes you can tell when hotel staff are faking the customer service vibe, but not these folks :)
Disliked: The policy of calling the room after checkout is very wholesome in theory, but in reality is jarring and irritating. I was appreciative that the front desk gives a damn about if my room is up to par, but I also just got done with a long day of travel/business and want to stare blankly at a wall in silence for 2 hours minimum lol. I think asking people at check in if they WANT a follow up call to see how the room is would be great. Then people are at least expecting it, those super loud hotel telephone rings are the worst.

Liked: My husband and I always stay here when we visit Carlsbad, we love the customer service and the hospitality. Plus they make delicious homemade cookies everyday and popcorn for the guests staying, 10/10

Liked: I absolutely loved this hotel mainly because of the people! We had a huge 2 queen suite with sofa bed which was great for our 5 night stay. The 2 sink vanity was an added bonus. The hotel staff at the main desk were friendly and caring. The lady in charge of the breakfast area kept it well stocked and clean with hot food each morning. Everyone took a personal interest in providing the best service to us. Loved the popcorn every afternoon and fresh chocolate chip cookies, plus milk, every evening!!
