Disappointed
Liked: The staff at the desk was nice.
Disliked: Unsafe area, not suitable for families. Very dirty, smelly room. Not from the area, wasn't aware this area was what it was and my family is kinda traumatized from our experience.. wouldn't recommend.

Comfortable hotel room, but needs...
Liked: The hotel was shabby. Lampshade broken in our room. Painting in hallway was really worn out. The bedding and towels were clean. I was comfortable and liked the pillows. It was just the overall environment just needs to be updated.

Liked: Staff, location, size of room, they fixed my issues
Disliked: There were bugs in my bathroom but they handled that. There was a hole in the ceiling, a plug was falling out of the lamp by my bed, the door closing off the kitchen area was stuck open and the TV didn't work and had to be fixed. The place was nice but it would have been great if it didn't feel so neglected.

The lack of training for...
Liked: The location was fine and I liked that there was parking available under the building.
Disliked: It was clear that the motel was undergoing a remodel as the whole place smelled of new carpet and discarded doors and rolls of carpet where taking up large parts of the parking area. The fridge in our room did not work, resulting in lost food. The room was not as clean as it could have been with unknown residue splattered on walls that had not been cleaned. The second night, a guest set off the fire alarm and it took over an hour to get back to our rooms because the staff called the fire department only after she realized we couldn't get back to our rooms without resetting the elevator. Once the fire department showed up, the staff and manager on the phone were chewed out for silencing the alarm and attempting to reset the elevator. It was clear the staff were given no training on handling a fire alarm and had the fire spread, it could have endangered guests. The waffle maker expects you to reuse the same cup for pouring batter instead of getting a new cup, which strikes me as unsanitary.
