Clean room and good breakfast. Nice area. Close to downtown and the beach. Easy Uber to everything downtown if you don't want to worry about parking.

The Discomfort Inn!

Liked: It was a lot more affordable than hotels in downtown Charleston and conveniently located next to the bridge.
Disliked: I couldn’t breathe! The room and air conditioner were so moldy and musty I ended up having to wear a mask to bed to be able to breathe at night. My friend and I both woke up coughing and feeling sick. As soon as we got fresh air outside we felt better immediately. When I got home, the same smell was all over my clothes and bag. They allowed us to change rooms if we wanted to but the other room they showed us was even worse since they had the air off entirely, it was enough to make me gag. The free breakfast was mediocre at best, had no healthy options outside fresh fruit, and the ‘coffee’ was terrible. Staff were not friendly, probably trying to avoid conflict knowing how poor quality the rooms are!

Good stay with comfortable beds

Liked: Breakfast was very ok if you like fake eggs, sausage all dried out and sweet goods. Room was comfortable and clean but no towels! What hotel does not have towels? I rand the front desk he said I had to go to the front desk to get towels!!!! I went straight away he said I must have had the do not disturb sign on my door, I had just checked in less than 5 minutes before! He didn’t even recognise me! There were no towels used or clean! Room was not serviced while we were there, had to ask for clean towels again.
Disliked: Staff were not friendly. Landmark view room was the road out the back!

Liked: We were able to change our room to the top floor and it was really quiet. It had a separate area for relaxing and watching TV, as well as a TV across from the beds. Slept well every night of our stay -- a near miracle for us. Breakfast was very good with nice amenities like Greek yogurt. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. The location was great, too -- close to the areas of interest to us.
Disliked: Really the only thing that I would change would be to get a better coffee machine for the breakfast area. They have one where you press a button to get mild, medium, or dark coffee. Well, the kindest thing I can say is that those buttons just tell the machine how much coffee syrup to mix in with your hot water. It would be worth the investment to get one of those new machines you see in some gas stations where there are several types of whole coffee beans stored on the top and you choose from these. The beans are ground fresh when you make your selection. We highly recommend this upgrade.
