Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown Brickell-Port of Miami, Miami

Location of hotel was great; room was awesome; clean. Check out was fast and courteous.

Liked: Room was very nice.
Disliked: Check in was poor.

Basically, this hotel works because it is in an excellent location and the rates are cheap for downtown Miami. After that, it's pretty disappointing.

Liked: Excellent location; low cost.
Disliked: Weak Wi-Fi; TV didn;t work; bathroom sink faucet handles leaked; no washcloth replacement; no drinking cups; windows looked as if they hadn't been washed since the hotel was built.

Very close to the James Knight Convention Center - very convenient location for conferences there.

Liked: Staff were all very helpful and pleasant.
Disliked: None of ice machines worked; no coffee pots for hot water in rooms.

Great for a short stay...

Liked: Location to the port is ideal with a $12pp charge to the port of Miami. Room was clean and ready for a 2:45pm check-in.
Disliked: The area doesn't seem to be the safestplace to be at night without company.

Would stay here again. Good...

Liked: Loved the view of the canal.
Disliked: Better upkeep of pantry-store items. More information on what is available near by.

Just for staying over one...

Disliked: Got to the property early the gentleman at the front desk said he would get us in as soon as possible, which was fine but then we waited over 5 1/2 hours and people that came in after us had already gotten their rooms. Also, we waited out at the pool for our room to get ready, the pool was full of leaves floating all around the top. The bottom was filthy. There were no towels then the maintenance man came out scooped out maybe three things of leaves and then left.

Liked: The location is great and convenient. The standard rooms are okay. Nothing too exciting. The breakfast needs improvement. The waffles were the best thing on the breakfast menu.
Disliked: The breakfast needs improvement.

Liked: we definitely liked the location walking distance of a lot of stuff! The room and hotel was very clean and they kept the pool nice and clean. the beds were comfortable in my opinion. the staff was friendly. The next day our flight wasn't till late and so after check out they keep our luggage for us until we got ready to leave.
Disliked: The breakfast wasn't very good it was dried out and didn't really have a good variety. They really should bring back the bar area and different amamenities cause it made the hotel look very empty and might would bring more life back to the hotel. We did arrive early to the hotel off a cruise ship and yes check in wasn't till 3 but they weren't very friendly about the fact we got there early, nor did they keep us updated on when a room maybe ready.
