Won't stay here again, it...

Liked: Good location close the to ring road but in a quiet spot.
Disliked: Tired decor, fixtures and fittings. Room smelt of smoke from previous guest. Reception closed at 8pm.

Basic hotel that met my...

Liked: Hotel conveniently placed for where I needed to be and easy to get to from the A41. The bed was comfortable and the room was pretty clean. The breakfast was generally OK and the staff were friendly. Communication was good as I arrived quite late and it was easy to get my key after reception had closed.
Disliked: The room was rather outdated and could do with renovation, as could the whole hotel. The corridors and stairs had a rather odd smell. The shower was just a hand-held shower attachment on a bath which was barely high enough for me even with the shower riser at full height. The floor was quite cold underfoot and never got that warm even with the heating on - slippers recommended!

Disliked: The smell is very bad on the corridor and the hotel or room pictures is not reflect the reality 100%

Great stay

Liked: Clean, staff was nice and responsible, excellent breakfast!
Disliked: Provision of hand soap, ceramic cups and hair dryer in each room would be great.

Passable

Liked: Calm Hotel, with very helpful staff
Disliked: Facilities were not good, small window, not good view, shower hose was broken so water is sprayed everywhere, breakfast was very basic and not of good quality.

Good to know

Liked: I know the hotel will be comfortable and the cheapest in that league so I'd like to come more often for family reasons.
Disliked: Reception closed far too early during the weekend.

Liked: Staff was helpful and it was cheap. Nothing else positive.
Disliked: The room could use some renovation. The bathroom looked clean but there is mold and water scum on the edges of the shower. The walls are a bit dingy. The outside appearance of the property is bad. I would not rebook this hotel.

Liked: Easy to find. Very friendly and efficient staff. The prepared evening meal was well priced and met our needs perfectly.
Disliked: The room had an unpleasant odour. Was very dated.
