Hotel is very tired looking...

Liked: Good central location
Disliked: Unfriendly staff poor response to requests

Not good breakfast effort at...

Liked: Room was big and clean. Bed comfy. Bath. All we needed.
Disliked: A macerator went off even when running tap or shower. It wasnt quiet at all.Breakfast was a shambles!!. Not only did they run out of food, which then took 25 mins to rectify the actual reasons given (which may have been facts) werent really accetable...Various reasons in conversations - "Sheet with number of guests staying was wrong, not our (employee) fault" - whose then? "Had alotvof guests over weekend and it is Monday" ????" Had to go to Tescos to get more". "Only got one chef"Tea and coffee non existent for first 15 minutes plus - most other guests same time as us or after had to ask when would tea coffee come out? Told queue for food to go and sit down and will bring out....no way as had no faith first ones in queue would get served first etc. Some people reminded staff things had run out... staff should spot it. Seemed too short staffed by far. Sorry to review like this we stay away loads and I only normally give 10s so very unusual for me! Would be nice to get a small refund even cost of one breakfast just as a token gesture but will see if this is even read....

Reasonable stay in a very...

Liked: The location was superb. We liked the staff as they were super helpful. The hotel is going through some renovation, and the room comfort is quite reasonable.
Disliked: The hotel is going through renovation, and the rooms are not big enough. The request for providing rooms closer was not provided. The rooms became super warm, and I had to keep the window open throughout the night. The fan was quite small and not worthy to cool anything off. The suite was cold, and I had to ask for an extra heater. Some plugs were not active and had to struggle with charging ports.

Cleanliness should be improved

Liked: Hotel room I had was so far from the lift and there were a couple doors as well as some stairs to climb to get to the room. This is so unacceptable when people have heavy luggage. Room was ok but very dirty curtains and no proper shower head. I didn’t expect a big luxury from a 3 stars hotel but I don’t think it would be too expensive to was the curtains as it looks disgusting not to mention the one in the bathroom.

Liked: Great location close to everything. Rooms were comfortable and staff were very friendly.

It's close to amenities but...

Liked: Breakfast was good could have been a bit warmer staff in adjoining restaurant were very good helpful with my wife
Disliked: No disabled parking they said there was parking a short walk it was always full one day I was parked about 500yards away from hotel

Disappointing

Liked: Very disappointed with the reception at the hotel and the reception staff not very helpful.Breakfast was cold and tables not set up properly, no condiments or cutlery with one waitress on breakfast duty.We arrived at the hotel at 12 and had to wait in the cold reception area for 3hrs to check in after asking repeatedly could we check in early as we were there for a wedding, reception wasn’t even properly staffed and we had to ring using the reception phone and when the receptionist finally arrived she had a real attitude and wasn’t very personable .Wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
