Period style beautifully furnished 3bdrm...

Liked: We stayed in a lovely old 3 bedroom house - charming antique furniture and decor. Spotlessly clean. Everything we could possibly need was supplied. Quiet location but only a short walk to shops.
Disliked: the beds were not very comfortable - big dip in the middle!

The Colony Inn must be...

Liked: I liked the historic aspect of the Colony Inn, learned a lot of Palmer history from the books and memorabilia, and wished I could have visited the museum accross the street. I liked the quiet old lodge feel and the brew pub accross the lawn. I loved the beautiful old books and furniture and greatly appreciated the use of the laundry.
Disliked: Wish the spa tub jets had worked. Did not like using the slippery, somewhat steep, iron outdoor stairs. They were close to my room and the parking area. Just had to walk a bit farther to the main entrance and indoor stairs. No real problem.

I would stay here again,...

Liked: It was nice and quiet. Off the main street. Had laundry available for free. Bed was comfortable and Room felt fairly clean. Room has a mini refrigerator. House cleaning came daily and kept things picked up.
Disliked: You have to check in down the street a couple blocks away, and was not greeted very warmly. The bushes and trees completely overgrown so no view from either window in the room. The Outside of the Colony really could use some sprucing up and a little landscaping and trimming. Room #3 Could use a small table for a desk because the small ledge next to the TV where the chair was was too high to comfortably use a computer sitting in the chair. The decor and the actual door key on the key ring took me back 40 years at least. The room felt fairly clean, but the longer old carpet should be replaced. The jacuzzi tub made it tricky to get in and out of the tub, high step.

Liked: Clean and nice
Disliked: It is nice, but the walls are thin and not isolated. The external walls and windows are good, but you can hear loads of and clear everything from the other rooms. Specially taking a both or using water. It won’t let you sleep. Some of the facilities are shared, not maintained and unusable.

Liked: It’s reasonably clean and comfortable if tired and dated. Price is reasonable and, if you’re wanting to be in Palmer, the location is hard to beat.
Disliked: My main concern as a female solo traveler is that the doors lack any kind of secondary lock that you find in most hotel rooms—just felt really insecure about that. I ended up wedging a chair under the door handle just to feel a little more secure.
