wow, I got to stay...

Liked: The cliff hotel is perfectly positioned for the beach and bus stop. The whole hotel is clean and cared for, the bed was exceptionally comfy, I'm only sorry that I forgot to have a look to check what make it was, for future reference. I paid a bargain price for my room in the middle of December. Growing up in Great Yarmouth in the seventies I never imagined that I would ever be a guest at the cliff hotel. I loved it and would definitely look to stay there again when I return to the area.
Disliked: I couldn't open my window, but this was a minor inconvenience. the room was lovely

Bad

Liked: My room, location of the hotel would have been great in Summer. The room was clean and it was a good size
Disliked: I got to the hotel after driving for 2 hrs on a very cold and wet night there was no parking. I went to a receptionist after looking for parking in back, dark streets for about 30 mins. She was not helpful at all she told me to continue look for parking on the road outside the hotel. It was dark and i was so late for the event that i was attending that i lost a lot of money and in the end it was pointless me attending. Further to my disappointment the room was freezing. I slept in the towel robe with a hat and socks on. It was so uncomfortable. There was no internet asked at the reception and were told there is none. The view outside my hotel room which i paid £240 for was rubbish dump which was eyesore so as a result i kept the curtains drawn all the time. I expected more for the prize. I am very unhappy and wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Surely last thing you want is to look for parking outside the hotel in an area you are not familiar with and freeze to death in your room

Don’t stay longer than 1...

Liked: The lady at breakfast was the only decent and polite worker, breakfast was nice.
Disliked: Window didn’t open, ask and reception said they don’t know the rooms. So I propped it open with a binRadiator was on and couldn’t turn off,Carpet was not attached to the floor, tripped during the night Food in the restaurant was poor, 1st night rude waitress, 2nd night ate out, 3rd night waitress was alright but the beef brisket was more like an over cooked steak.

Slightly disappointed

Liked: 2nd visit to this hotel. It was for my wife's birthday. Booked the room with bath suite and was not disappointed although was rather drafty and on the cold side. Evening meal was OK but my wife ordered risotto that was served up luke warm, had to go back and be replaced. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: As i said the room we stayed in was nice but we were shocked when we looked out of the window to see a dumping ground of old mattresses and bed frames from the hotel. At a cost of £180 for the night it not what we expected of a room offered with a sea view.
