I not only want to...

Liked: The room was very basic: plenty big, one king sized bed, two chairs, a refrigerator and microwave, and a medium sized tv on the wall. The room was very clean and well maintained. What made it exceptional was the balcony overlooking Lake Superior. It's a pretty steep drop down to the lake so it felt like we were right over it. It was really too cold to have the door open much, but when we did, the sound of the lake was wonderful. All of the staff was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: We knew there wouldn't be breakfast so we brought food with us. A breakfast supplied by the motel would have been appreciated. There weren't very many outlets in the room and no USB outlets.

Doesn't Disappoint

Liked: The Cliff Dweller is a very nice place that we have stayed at several times. Great location, Lake Superior is right off your balcony. Friendly staff, clean rooms, extremely comfortable beds.
Disliked: Nothing, everything was great.

Superb

Liked: The view was gorgeous! The view of the sunrise and moonlight over the lake was incredible. The sounds of the waves was so peaceful. And it was very affordable considering fall color season.
Disliked: Beds were a little smaller than expected, but we could have also not read the description carefully enough. Other than that, it was clean and the staff was friendly.

Convenient location, friendly staff, cozy...

Liked: Convenient location just off Hwy 61, friendly staff, cozy room, nice view of Lake Superior
Disliked: Just a few trees in the way of the view from our room, but no big deal (hint: drive up and down Highway 61 to get excellent views of the lake and get out and about!)

For the short amount of...

Liked: Nice view of the lake. Room was sparse but had every single thing we needed. Made us realize we often pay a lot for hotel amenities we never use!
Disliked: We always found a parking spot but it got quite tight by day’s end.
