We were made to feel...
Liked: Ate in the Hotel lobby Bar one evening and the service was impeccable. The food arrived quickly, was well presented and incredibly tasty. It had an easy, relaxed atmosphere but the attention to detail was noticeable. The Hotel staff had gone to the trouble of noticing on our booking that one of the party had a special Birthday and had put a card and a plate with "Happy Birthday" in chocolate with macarons, in the room on arrival. This was a very special and thoughtful touch which added to the occasion and was much appreciated.Breakfast in the morning was very well organised and again, attentive staff. We would definitely recommend this Hotel in the future. Thank you.
Disliked: More tea and coffee in the room, as initially there was only 1 tea bag each. Easily rectified as Reception sent someone up to our room with more within 10 minutes of our request.

An enjoyable stay.
Liked: Hotel is nicely presented and very modern and stylish. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast offered an excellent selection. Room was very spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. Also, really well located for access to the trams, which were a 2 min walk away and offered frequent easy connections into the city centre.I would have given this a slightly higher score were it not for 2 things. I deliberately opted for a less central hotel so we could get away from some of the more raucous nightlife that Dublin has to offer. Whilst the district itself is fairly quiet, on each of the three evenings we were there, the excellent weather brought out hundreds of repellers (mostly good natured) who congregated along the canal side right outside the hotel. It was quite a struggle to get through them into the hotel and, on one night, the hotel closed one set of its doors, presumably to discourage the revellers from coming in to use the facilities. I appreciate there’s very little the hotel can do to control this, but it’s something to be aware of. I’m not sure if this is a regular occurrence or whether people were just taking advantage of the unseasonably good weather we enjoyed during our trip. The second issue we had was that our room was not serviced on our last day, even though we were out from about 10am until around 5pm. It’s no big deal - I’m quite capable of making a bed and we were quite content to reuse our towels. But I guess I didn’t expect to even have to think about that in a hotel of this grade. It was only then that I noticed that the teaspoons in our coffee making set hadn’t been changed at all whilst we were there - the ones we’d left used on the tray on day 1 were still there on day 3. Again, no big deal, just not something I’d have expected. In fairness to the hotel, as it was our last night, I didn’t raise this with them, but had we been staying longer, I would have done so.All in all, though, we enjoyed our stay.

Tired
Liked: Liked the decor and the feel and location of hotel
Disliked: We had two rooms of 3, so 6 adults in total. Not one of us slept due to the pillows being as hard a bullet. If we did manage to doze off we woke with a sore neck. It’s impossible to sleep in a pillow that has zero give or bounce. On check in I heard a man complain about the e pillows and thought he was being hard work, now I completely understand. They must be aware of the problem with the pillows and still haven’t replaced them. The idea of going to a hotel should be centred on a good night sleep and not one of us slept
