Pleasant and relaxing.

Liked: Small and friendly. Staff pleasant and very hard working.
Disliked: Access to and from A21 Road tricky. Not hotels fault!

Cosy country charm.

Liked: Lovely setting. Charming house. Helpful staff. Delicious breakfast.
Disliked: We booked a compact double. It's very compact indeed. A larger sized, less agile couple would find this room and ensuite inaccessible and barely usable.

Liked: We ate our evening meal on Friday and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday at the hotel and the food was very, very good. The staff are friendly and attentive, the room was large, spotless and the bed super comfy. It's a lovely hotel that exceeded our expectations.
Disliked: We liked it all, nothing to report here!

Liked: Breakfast and Dinner were very nice. Fresh & hot and good choices.Room was large and so was the bed and comfortable....lovely shower!!Staff were really friendly and hotel was clean everywhere.

Liked: The room was lovely and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my time and would be happy to return again.The breakfast was really nice, mixture of fresh fruit and yoghurt, toast and butter, lovely orange juice and a cooked breakfast.

Overnight stay at Claverton Hotel

Liked: Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds, has a cosy country home feel, great views, superb breakfast, ample parking, very comfy bed.
Disliked: We had the four poster room that we had booked via booking.com, it was lovely but the shower was moldy, the heated towel rail is right next to where you open bathroom cabinet between us burnt our arms 3 times so just left cabinet open, paint runs down bathroom door, there was cracked paint around bedroom window, stains on carpet in several places. Only 3 coat hangers provided in a small built in wardrobe. It did not spoil the stay by any means but for such a lovely place and when you pay for an upgraded room to have a more enhanced experience, it was disappointing tbh as we had stayed previously in a standard room and had no issues at all.Hotel took 2 different cards for payment saying both had declined via booking.com site. We got to the hotel and payment went straight through when we put card in the machine, it was just annoying and not the best start to be contacted initially to say 2 separate payment sources not accepted/declined before we had even arrived. When we went to check out at 11am no staff. Could see 2 in the kitchen but nobody came out after pressing the buzzer on reception, again not the end of the world but we couldn't of addressed any of the above if we had wanted toMy husband wanted to rate 6 for the stay due to the bedroom/bathroom but I've rated 8 as overal,l it is a lovely place.
