Excellent hotel, just crap location...

Liked: Checking in was very easy, the staff also spoke (a little bit of) English, so that was very nice. There was a lift available, which was also QUITE pleasant since the room was on the 5th floor. The room itself was everything I needed, large enough for one person and there was a stand-thingy to put my suitcase on top of and have it be easily accessible. Pretty much everything about the room was to my liking. It looked clean and was quite comfortable.
Disliked: My main issue with this hotel is its location. I was in town for an event and didn't do a lot of research about where to stay. The Reeperbahn is one big party street, and a whole plethora of clubs staying open until around 4-5 am. Even though the windows are pretty thick, I could still barely sleep because of the noise from outside (even with earplugs). Also, there was VERY loud music in the bar area of the hotel itself, so I can imagine that if you're staying on the first two floors, you'd probably have an even more difficult time sleeping. ~ All of this could've been prevented if I had done a bit more research, so that's on me. But please, if you're a light sleeper, do NOT go to any hotel in this area and take one a bit further away ;)Some more small things about the room: the light on the tiny bedside table flickered for a little while when you switch it on (after that it works fine though), and that there wasn't really a power socket next to the bed, whilst that was stated on the site. There was a power strip tucked underneath the bed, which I could pull out and charge my phone there.. but I ended up just using the one above the table for easy access.

Disappointing

Disliked: Very poor sound protection against the noise coming from outside. Even though the window was closed, it offered little to no protection against the loud music, people talking / shouting or cars passing by outside. Falling asleep without some sort of ear protection is a challenge if you are used to quite environments.

Liked: The position is perfect to live Hamburg-by-night and close to the U- and S-ban. The room was pretty. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Just a few points to get better: no bottle of water provided in the room upon arrival; the bathroom was really old —the shower without box; the towel for the body was too small; the kept sending me communications in German language even if I asked for English.

Very nice stay and lovely...

Liked: Excellent location , bars, restaurants and night life . Rooms are clean ,nice breakfast and staff very pleasant.
Disliked: The hotel has sound proof windows but you can still hear the music from the night club downstairs but if you use the ear sound plugs will be fine.
