Cool concept, poor execution.
Liked: The historical location is what drew us to the hotel. The room is impressively designed. The bathtub was lovely, bed comfortable.
Disliked: It really felt like a self-service place. We didn’t read the 4 inch sign at check in, annd no one mentioned that you need to notify staff if you want your room cleaned or towels. We stayed three nights, and when we returned to our room the second night, there were still no towels. We asked at the desk at 10:30 and they said they’d send someone the next day. We were out of the room most of the day, but no one came. We went to the desk and were told they’d send someone immediately. By then we wanted to rest. They finally came while we were gone for dinner. No breakfast for that price of a room was not acceptable. If food service isn’t available, the price should be lowered. Finally, after arriving back at 10;00 at night the last night, the parking lot was being renovated. We had to park a block away and then in the morning drag our luggage to the car because the lot was still closed and there were no parking places close by. A message could have been texted to let us know that was happening. Staff was very dismissive. Oh, well. Sorry you’re old was the attitude. The staff admitted how difficult the place is to navigate to rooms.
