Not impressed with this place

Liked: Close to the HBF stadium and walking distance to restaurants
Disliked: First of all you cannot call yourself a hotel, more of a backpackers. You have nowhere to store guest luggage before check in, and the staff over the phone could not provide any solution to me, not even checking with the cleaners to see if the room could be make ready earlier... nothing.... didn't even try.Room 3 the aircon doesn't get cold and you can't switch on the ceiling fan, I understand that you provided a small fan as an alternative however this reads as the cheapest possible solution instead of paying an Electrician to fix what's needed.The bathroom basin drains very very slowly.The room smells, it could be from dirty carpets, maybe the carpet needs a good clean.The cleaners left the previous guests shower gel on the shower frame, they must have left this there as there is no where for you to put in when in the shower, there is no bathroom rail to hang a wet towel.The decorative pillow and throw on the bed are old and dirty. You are going to continue to get bad reviews if you continue run this place as cheap as it looks now, the room itself also needs a handyman to fix and touch up. It has potential but feels like the owner/management need to actually care enough to take it from where is it and make it good. I come from hotels and hospitality myself I wouldn't stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Wouldn't go back but it...

Liked: The shower is good. The location is just on the outskirts of Northbridge so 10 mins walk to all the bars, cafes, etc.
Disliked: I don't usually leave bad reviews but I don't think the staff were very good to me. My fan didn't work, I stayed 4 nights and 2 were so hot I barely slept. Mozzies got into the bedroom also. I messaged every day to get fan fixed but they didn't come. In fact, at first they argued that it wasn't broken before I got there! Also not the cleanest. But not the dirtiest I've seen either.

WHAT A CRAP STAY

Disliked: The room was full of bugs, not to mention the uncomfortable bed, and to top it off, I was locked out of the toilet/barthroom, had wee outside could not even take a shower. The staff was unhelpful with my complaint, and I never heard back from them. Everytime I rang to find out about a refund, I never got a positive answer. This was a huge mistake to book at this place, and I will never stay at this place again. Shame on you City Quarters on Brewer
