Liked: The hotel is very convenient for the historic Old Town which is about a 10-15 minute walk away, it is also very close to the central railway station and there is a tram stop around the corner from it from which you can travel all over the city.The breakfast was of very good quality, plentiful and varied so it caters for all preferences.It got very busy at certain times during breakfast and we had to share our table on two occasions which wasn't a problem for us.We initially had an attic room on the 4th floor which was very claustrophobic so we complained and were given a larger room on the 3rd floor which was much more comfortable so credit to the man on reception for accommodating us.We did not hear any noise in the night which surprised us as Prague has a reputation for its nightlife, it was fortunate that fellow guests were quiet as the walls are very thin and we could hear our neighbors in the shower and talking during the day.Nice hot shower every time we used it and a good quality wall mounted flat screen TV.The hotel was excellent value for money and is rated as 2 star but I think a 3 star would be more suitable.
Disliked: Furniture and carpets are a bit old and could do with updating,however, it didn't spoil our stay and it's not an expensive hotel.Our bathroom was tiny and the sink is so small that it's difficult not to soak the floor when having a shave.Our toilet seat was a cheap plastic affair that was broken when we arrived and was never replaced during our stay.The pillows are rock hard and not very comfortable so this affected our sleep a little bit.There was a problem with the towels in our room, when we requested them to be replaced after two days use we were left with two small hand towels instead of shower towels, when we complained the female receptionist said there was nothing she could do until the following day; surely they hold the keys to the storeroom when the housekeeping staff are not at work ? This problem was rectified the following day when we asked a housekeeper directly for fresh towels and they were provided immediately without any fuss.

Not suitable gluten free breakfast...

Liked: Room was quiet, the bathroom clean
Disliked: We were disappointed that although a month prior to our arrival we had requested a gluten free breakfast option for 2 of the people in our family (my husband and my daughter), no accurate information about gluten was provided by staff and only some (not very good) gluten free bread was provided on a plate. We would have expected at least one option of gluten free cereals, at least option of gluten free cake or biscuits, and some information regarding the gluten in the items available with the breakfast (did the ham contain gluten? did the sausages contain gluten?). The staff seemed annoyed when we asked about the other items.
