Hotel is weird as you enter into a small foyer with the parking valet. The lobby is a couple of floors above. The lobby sign is easy to miss. The lobby is cavernous but dimly lit with few signs or directions. The elevator to the rooms is around the corner from the foyer to lobby elevator. It was all confusing as no directions were given by the check in staff. I had trouble finding the restaurant, which is in the front (I guess) facing the river. The hotel is very proud of their river view. Breakfast was eventful, as no one was seating guests - a waitress finally asked if I was there to eat breakfast. She seemed confused when I declined the buffet and asked for a menu. She brought coffee, but no sweeteners nor spoon. When I asked for sugar and a spoon, she thought I wanted two menus. She then abandoned me without providing the requested item. I finally got the attention of another waitress, who took my order. The breakfast came to me piecemeal with my poached eggs last. My stay was not very memorable or satisfying. I will leave the problem of getting a cab for another day.

Liked: Convenient; comfortable room.
Disliked: Staff; dark, depressingly weird interior; no free wi-fi.

Liked: Bed was great; employees were very friendly; elevator was fast; parking was convenient; easy shuttle access to North KY and Cincinnati. We had a great stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Wow! This was probably the best hotel stay I have ever experienced. From the moment I drove into the front and was met by valet parking, to the moment I checked out, everyone was super attentive to everything I needed. I was made to feel like a celebrity the entire time I was there. I loved everything about this place - would highly recommend it, and will definitely stay there again!

We can't wait to return for another visit to Cincinnati and stay at the Marriott Downtown River Center.
