Fantastic location, Christchurch Harbour Hotel...

Liked: The room was spotlessly clean and the bed & pillows so comfortable. Lovely bathroom and products. Very nice touch to have a courtesy gin & tonic in the room, and ice/lemon being offered at the door at just before the perfect time of 6pm!Breakfast was very good quality and the evening meal was delicious. Staff were exceptional.
Disliked: Actually can't think of anything negative!

Disliked: only continental breakfast is included in the price of the room, which is a shame

Great location, pretty rooms, excellent...

Liked: The location was perfect for morning walks along the beach, I wished I had taken my stuff for a cold water swim as they were a few groups there doing it with a cafe and coffee bars open. The decor was beautiful and great facilities such as the spa. The bed linen and pillows were divine. I had a lovely swim and had a very relaxing time. There were plenty of staff that were all very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: It was a tad design over purpose, the mirror in the bathroom was ridiculously hot and we asked if it could be turned down but not sure that was possible so we would burst out of the bathroom bathed in sweat. The beds were comfortable but my short step mother could not get on them so we had to take the cushions off the seats to make a step for her in the night. The other furniture in the room was in contrast quite low which was a source of amusement. The linen covered bed heads were impractical as previous wet heads had clearly left stains on them. As for the lights, after two nights I had finally got the hang of what switch turned off what light, it was a bit of a dance. I wish there had been coat hooks, my pet hate is having to hang my out door coat in the wardrobe especially if it is a bit damp, there was the perfect spot as well as you walked into the room. So many hotels miss this useful inexpensive addition, one thing the premier inn is good at ..! A little pricey for what it actually was, you are paying for location and I do speak as someone who has travelled extensively and lost count of the hotel rooms I have stayed in. Because I am always unpacking my case somewhere around the world, little things such as where can I hang my coat, where can I put my case, where can I lay my toiletries become important, all rooms have a rhythm. These rooms were beautiful but perhaps a little over stuffed as by the time two people had unpacked it was a little squashed and busy. Oh and don’t get me on the extra for a cooked breakfast, I have stayed in plenty similar standard hotels and don’t come across this too often, it made me quite grumpy-it’s a bit over promise and under deliver. The continental breakfast was the same as a recent stay in a 3 star Greek hotel ..!

Liked: The food was all excellent, the bed was very comfortable, the room well laid out and practical.
Disliked: I could have done without the 6am fire alarm!

Liked: The breakfast is one of the best in most Hotels we have stayed at, the service is excellent and the staff professional friendlyand happy.Thank you for another lovely stay.
Disliked: Next time we will request a sea view, but that was our mishap.

Wonderful!

Liked: The Jetty is a fantastic restaurant with great food and service. Room was wonderful and comfy beds. All staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and the Spa was great.
Disliked: Children are only permitted to use the spa for two hours a day. This is understandable but would be nice to know upfront.
