great location, not so great...

Liked: location. staff was nice. lobby is nice.
Disliked: room was not very clean. bathroom door handle broken. towel shelf broken. elevator was shaky. a couple of hairs on the bedspread. carpet was awful. coffee machine in room and phone were un-useable. the main entrance doors were broken. lots of repairs needed in this hotel.

Needs better management and maintenance!

Liked: Exton / Chester hotel is usually an amazing place. However that's starting to change sadly. The quality of the place is worsening, abnormal amount of cigarette buds on the outside surroundings and the ashtrays, the Chester (west door) has an enormous amount of trash on and around the garbage cans, etc. Some rooms smell like urine (132) and we found roaches trying to get into the food we placed by the television in room (213).
Disliked: Our last weekend stay had to be the worst. We booked a week ahead of time for Friday Sept 27 only to find that when we arrived past 11pm they had given all the good rooms to others and gave us room 132 (the last room). That's the room by the west parking entrance (Chester side). The toilet was dirty, the curtain was ripped, and we couldn't find any plugs to charge our phone we had to unplug the television to charge them. There was a switch (without label) on the wall that we thought was supposed to operate the air conditioner/heater, we were confused and had no idea how to turn off the air conditioner unit, since the switch didn't seem to be doing the trick. We were tired and knowing that that was the last room decided to go to bed and switch rooms in the morning. When we went to get our food out of the fridge we realized it was off and realized the switch on the wall was for the fridge all along.
