Disliked: Noisy bedroom from the boiler room which was underneath our room Very dated bathroom Strange light switch set up where you had all the lights on or none

Liked: Staff very nice and good food.We booked one of the top rooms as a treat for my wife after an illness, when we arrived we booked in and went up to our room. All the curtains were closed and it felt very gloomy, we opened the curtains to find that the main windows looked at a brick wall ( literally inches away) with wires hanging down. The rest of the windows were covered with a plastic covering that let light in but you could not see out of . To be honest this room should not be one of the top rooms . The staff moved us but we ended up in a basic double

Unprofessional under pressure

Liked: The property itself id beautiful
Disliked: We arrived and paid for early check in so we could prepare for a gala ball . There was no hot water and reception although understandable were under pressure but rude no compensation or apologies were offered so we washed in stone cold water not being able to wash my hair it completely rude what was meant to be a nice night away . Asked for a manager to call and for their email and no response. As the accommodation was over priced as there was an event on it was extremely disappointing

Dog friendly but expensive stay!

Liked: Bed was comfortable and room was clean though bathroom had signs of wear and tear.Didn't stay for breakfast though food at function previous night was good.Chose this hotel as function being held here and was dog friendly, though £25 extra for dog per night is excessive!
Disliked: Thought room was overpriced. Often stay at 4* hotels which are much nicer and cheaper, that include breakfast.

Liked: Lovely and clean and inviting, seasonal decor was lovely
Disliked: There was no hot water and we were offered to use the leisure centre showers but it was too busy (only 3 ) there were many people trying to get ready for an event being held in the function room there They did give us 1 free drink per room as compensation which I though was a crap offer !!! Then some bar staff said no to certain drinks so it wasn’t even complimentary!!

Disliked: You’re other guests making a lot on late night noise, we requested a quiet room on a high floor, as we experienced a lot of noise from unaccompanied children in the adjacent room on our last visit

Disliked: We had no hot water on Saturday morning and evening showers and we did not get compensation for it, despite mentioning it.
