Disappointing

Good hotel in a great...

Liked: Great location to Cherokee and to Bryson City and Maggie Valley. It was a clean and spacious room. We enjoyed our stay.
Disliked: Coffee was not good in the lobby. Stink bugs and lady bugs came in which warnings were posted. They should renovate to prevent them from coming in.

Liked: The bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: They are renovating and it was a little noisy.

Do not stay here

Liked: No breakfast because of construction was not told that ahead of time our door to our hotel room would not close the only way it would lock is if I use the deadbolt when you leave the room it was unlocked horrible place
Disliked: Only one person on staff no maintenance guy your gal just not a pleasant experience

Served our purpose and location

Liked: The gentleman who checked us in the evening we arrived was great! Had a great conversation with him over my free coffee in the lobby. The room we ended up in was comfortable enough bedding wise. Further explanation in the "What didn't you like?" section. Breakfast was good. Nice selection of items, both hot and cold.
Disliked: The first room we were given smelled horribly musty. We tried "burning" it out with the heat but after 5 mins I was getting a headache. We were given another room right away. Being in the country, there may be things uncontrollable by the property. Such is the case during the season we were there. We had several "roommates" during our stay. Copious amounts of lady bugs and a few stink bugs. They do have a sign at the front desk explaining/warning of this. We didn't find it too off-putting during our 2 nights.
