Disliked: Side stairs no elevator, small room and noise outside the window. Great for one night, they give earplugs:)

Ruined Trip

Liked: Nothing to like. Staff can write to confirm my arrival time but not keep track of their measly 15 rooms, apparently.
Disliked: I booked a room on booking.com and was contacted by the property in the app to ask my arrival time. I said 5pm and arrived at 5pm. I was told upon arrival that they needed 20 minutes to "clean my room." After about 30 minutes, I was told that booking.com had overbooked their property with 17 rooms instead of the 15 they have available. They said they would contact booking.com and that I should, too. I was forced to cut my trip short and travel back home overnight because there were no other affordable rooms left, and now the property is not replying to my messages in the app. They should have paid better attention to how many reservations they had, and now they are making no effort to rectify the situation. The $225 is still on my credit card. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Hostel-like lodgings in Midtown with...

Liked: This is almost a hostel but you have your own tidy and well-equipped room. The entrance is a little odd, there is no elevator, and it is certainly no Ritz. But the check-in is easy, the staff is very friendly, the rooms and bath-showers are tidy as can be, the bed was comfortable, and earplugs are supplied to keep out the inevitable sounds of 8th Avenue. I also felt very safe, which is a single woman in New York as always a plus. I don’t mind sharing a bathroom and never had an issue with this. If you’re on a budget, need to be in Midtown near Penn Station or Madison Square Garden, and know what you’re getting, this place is a good choice.
Disliked: Narrow stairs aren’t much fun with a suitcase.

Totally recommend!

Liked: Loved the location! Close to metro and train stations, best bagels, high line, target, so many things!!! The staff was also so so nice and loved talking to Chris ( I think that was his name lol).They offered complementary all organic breakfast in a tiny but cozy space.Overall we were super comfortable and secure!
Disliked: Is not that I did not like but it's more of an FYI that the room is small so is just for sleeping. Need to keep it tidy or else it would be chaos lol

Liked: Room was comfy, all the necessary amenities, and centrally located.
Disliked: The breakfast Cafe staff were not attentive, lines were long, and food was cold by the time it was served.
