Good

Liked: Fantastic location, great food both at Eleanor's Restaurant and breakfast, and overall a really beautiful building and setting. The staff, from reception and management, to cleaning and table staff, were very friendly and accommodating and provided service with a smile and a wonderful attitude. The room we were allocated was amazing. It was a corner room on the second floor with great views of the surrounding countryside.
Disliked: We had a large booking so we coordinated our reservation and requests well in advance, however, reception staff did not have all reserved rooms on record, which caused issues with check in for two rooms, even though they were prepaid and a list of names had been provided in advance, and double checked the previous evening. The water was out in the entire facility in the morning of our last day so no one (we had 10 rooms) could use the shower, bath or sink or flush the toilets. There was a written apology on a note under our door but no verbal acknowledgement or apology for this at check out, nor any form of compensation offered for the inconvenience, except a bottle of water. Tank water was delivered by truck later in the morning but most of our party had already checked out. For such a large establishment, a basic requirement like water should be delivered regularly so that there is never any outage.A request to allocate payment for meals to certain rooms wasn't followed through by the reception staff on checkout meaning that some of our group paid for meals that we had not intended them to pay for, even though the request had been made in advance and double checked.

Good

Liked: Original building with large suites. Lovely winery cellar in central wi wet region
Disliked: It’s a lovely old property with history but unfortunately it’s looking tired & in need of a spruce up. Water stopped working in the evening. Staff were unresponsive. In the morning still no water or response from staff.
