Very nice hotel but delivering...

Liked: Very nice domain, beautiful nature and elegantly decorated castle. We had a globally stay and lovely dinner at the restaurant les Salons. However, i cannot put a higher rating due to a disappointing issue with the heating and the below-standard way this was handled.
Disliked: We booked this hotel for a romantic weekend in the end of December. However, the heating was not working in our room. We wanted to have a shower before dinner, had to wait for someone to come and solve the problem. However, he wasted 15 min there trying to fix it in vain. We eventually arrived late at dinner. The only solution offered in the meantime was an electric heater between the bedroom and bathroom which was suboptimal to say the leadt.Of course, such issues can happen but the way it was handled was really not up to a 5-stars hotel standards. You would normally expect that the hotel spontaneously apologizes and provides some kind of compensation, but they did not. Only after i mentioned the issue at check-out, did the hotel give us a small pot of marmelade as a gift ...which was quite an absurd gesture and certainly not an appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused.

Romantic stay at very nice...

Liked: We received an upgrade upon check in - we had a very nice room
Disliked: There was some miscommunication between restaurant and Hotel about prepayment of 50 Euro (for dinner booking) - however is was solved professionally by the staff

I wouldnt recommend it to...

Liked: Original and great setting
Disliked: Pool hours, no bathrobes for kids, second tv didnt work.

Liked: Gorgeous setting, beautiful sculptures. Wonderfully decorated for Christmas
Disliked: Some sub-standard elements for a 5 star hotel - no handsoap, no handtowel (just a small facecloth balanced near the sink). The car park has far too few charging points for the number of electric cars

Superb

Liked: Room was super cozy and chic, and staff was very welcoming and ready to help out. Our favorite part was the pool and spa area which were incredible and serene
Disliked: Breakfast is good, but not worth the extra 30 euros. Our stay was not in the main chateau, but on the property on the side which was a bit disappointed as we did not get to see the inside of the chateau
