Simply Stunning

Liked: The château is a stunning and beautiful place maintained to a very high standard. My room was in the hunting lodge and was spacious and immaculately clean with everything you need. The shower was very good and the bed comfy. One thing I must mention was the hospitality we received in particular from Lorraine. She was so friendly and went to any lengths to help us. I would expect that level of hospitality from a business owner, which she is not. She is a true asset for the owners of this place. The staff at breakfast were also very friendly.Location is very close to airport and train station so taxi journey is inexpensive. It's a little further into Biarritz about 10 mins.There is lots of parking if you have a car and dogs were very welcome.
Disliked: Pool area is great with a fabulous view of the mountains. But it could possibly be updated a little as the decking looks a little worn. Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely fine but not exceptional like the rest of the place. The pool is a good size and there is a bar there for drinks and food.A little more selection and fresh items at breakfast would be good. It was 20 euros but I think for that price my expectations were a bit higher. On the plus side the breakfast room and terrace provided a very special location for food and drinks at breakfast and throughout the day.
