Underwhelming with strange vibe.

Liked: The coffee was good, the bed was perfect, the bathroom was nice. Parking was easy.
Disliked: The building was in disrepair, needed paint. Self check in with cameras everywhere was creepy. The contract you sign was extensive and cumbersome. Would be better to see in advance. Fireplace didn't work with portable heater provided. Wrinkly carpet. Could be so much better.

Liked: Wonderful old house, decorated so nicely. Lovely welcoming parlor and set up for coffee and tea downstairs. Heirloom fruit trees and roses were stunning. We had a turret!
Disliked: Super thin sheets. Our bathroom was huge and nicely appointed, but not clean. Very sad that it was in the middle of a modern housing development.

Liked: The mansion is well appointed with a lot of character. The room was spacious and the common spaces were elegant. The owners took care of all the little details.
Disliked: The fact that there was no personal interaction and that the access was with codes, it made the experience a little spooky.

Disappointing taking into account the...

Liked: Good shower and great location for my purpose.
Disliked: No staff in evidence at any point which I find strange for a 'hotel'. No decaf coffee available despite being listed - indeed no facility to make coffee in the room at all. Broken and dirty sash windows - either stuck open or closed. Bedding appeared clean but had a musty, unclean odour which was unpleasant. When the management was called because I couldn't connect to the WiFi there was no help offered. I later discovered the helpline to the technical support who got me online, but it would have been nice to have been directed to that. It's better to have no flowers than cheap artificial ones in my opinion. A lot of paperwork and a lot of instructions taped around the place - a bit amateur. It's deemed an old property which is fine but it's in dire need of updating. I'm from the UK - the house I live in is older than this one and in significantly better condition. Overall very surprised by the high star ratings given by previous guests.
