Overrated

Liked: The water spa was great but so busy , they don’t take reservations and allow too many people in. The two restaurants are good. The hotel is quite run down , the outside of the building is very dated and falling apart, the room had very worn furniture, no carpet or rug, our window opened which was nice and we did have a lovely view- but window was broken. The closet door was broken, no travel or local info or material, random unmatching shampoos and toiletries some of which were actually stained/dirty - no extras or luxuries you would expect in a “Chateau “. We were sent to a room at check in that was not ready. I paid a very high rate for Saturday night which I understand as a weekend but I overall felt duped - it was not the luxury they make it out to be

Liked: We got an upgrade to a king suite. The room was very large and comfortable. Front desk staff was very nice. I liked that the Koena Spa was attached. Very relaxing.
