Liked: Beautiful setting, stunning hotel : our room was at the top of a winding staircase (room 8) lovely vaulted ceiling, comfortable bed and large bathroom - great little extras such as coffee machine, Dyson hairdryer and yummy home made biscuits in the room. All the staff were lovely, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Comfy lounges to relax in and all finished off with a tasty breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back.

Liked: I had a fantastic stay at Charingworth Manor. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Their hospitality truly made my stay special. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly cosy, ensuring a great night's sleep.Breakfast and dinner were both exceptional! The variety of options at breakfast was impressive, with fresh fruits, pastries, and hot dishes cooked to perfection. Dinner was equally delightful, with a well-curated menu offering delicious flavours and excellent presentation. The quality of the food exceeded my expectations.

It’s an incredible place to...

Liked: It’s beautiful, full of history, comfortable, stylish and the location has the most amazing peacefulness!
Disliked: The building work going on at the time was very noisy. It didn’t wake me up fortunately but there was lots of banging above my room while I was getting up and dressed. I didn’t complain because I know that renovations are necessary. Hopefully, my next visit, the building works will be finished.

Spoilt by overpriced drminks

Liked: Very stylish
Disliked: Drinks were over priced and was awoken with a false fire alarm the the night porter was unqualified or trained to deal with, which in itself was dangerous

fine for now but opportunities...

Liked: comfortable room, lovely location, good breakfast.
Disliked: Apparently the rooms are being progressively redecorated, but seems a needless expense. Some corridors have already been done, and we don't like the results. Also we understand the swimming pool may be closed, which if correct would be a bad decision from our perspective. It's a large selling point.
