Most unwelcoming hotel/spa around

Liked: Facilities are great, good gym nice pool
Disliked: This must be the least welcoming hotel I’ve been in. When you haven’t booked direct with Champneys you are definitely a second class citizen in this place. If they haven’t got the maximum amount of money out of you that they can, you are constantly reminded that your aren’t a full guest! Check in and your room key isn’t programmed, go to the restaurant and you are referred to as a B&B guest, note under your door overnight to tell you must have left the resort by 10AM or you will automatically be charged extra and the maid stood outside your room before 10 to make sure you are out!! I gave it a 2nd chance but never again!

Liked: Staff were really nice and the hotel looked clean
Disliked: Bed and pillows were really uncomfortable. Check in was late at 5pm and only had 4 hours to use the facilities as they close at 9pm. No where states that they close that early which should be stated. Breakfast include only continental and you had to pay for a normal breakfast which is ridiculous

Really comfortable stay, lacked attention...

Liked: Style, design, spacious, grounds
Disliked: Reception check in was wonderful. Tried to order room service no one answered phone, so had to go to the restaurant to order dinner and request room service. Food was delivered but not warm enough. No staff available at breakfast to order hot food in morning. Not one server was walking the floor. A dozen + guests who may have wanted hot breakfast.

Liked: Lovely setting. Good food and friendly staff
Disliked: Interior was tired and needs updating. Restricted times when restaurant and spa is open meant that I couldn't enjoy the full experience during my stay.

Liked: The breakfast was lovely, I had poached eggs and turkey bacon.Hubby had full English.
Disliked: I would have liked dairy tree porridge with fruit
