Exceptional
Liked: The room, the food and the ambience were lovely. The grounds were beautiful as always and it's nice to see ducks and geese wandering about!
Disliked: The beautician who did my facial ignored my request to be gentle with the skin and my comment that I had to be very careful about exfoliating it, and exfoliated it anyway. I didn't realise what she was doing until it was too late. Within a couple of hours I had a red patch above my top lip.

Overall - I wasn't impressed.
Liked: Nice location for me. Parking was convenient. nice surroundings. hotel looked fantastic from the outside.
Disliked: I arrived late at the hotel due to motorway closure. I was very tired. No one on reception/arrivals. A man sitting in departure room beckoned me to come to him as he didn't appear to want to move. I then followed him back to reception desk. Very hard to understand what he was saying. He kept offering me a robe which I declined. He didn't provide any details about breakfast and timings and no information in the room. He did show me where my room was located, but it was very far away from the car, which I said, but he offered no alternative. I asked about an EV charger and was told it was at the back somewhere. It was late at night, poorly lit and the EV chargers were useless and I kept getting an error. I called the 24 hour number on the EV Charger unit (no answer) and I gave up in the end. No internet worked - It said "The WiFi network isn't connected to the Internet". The bathroom shower was dirty. In the morning, no staff in the breakfast area and I left and ate elsewhere.

Very disappointed.
Liked: The location and hotel itself was nice.
Disliked: We were placed on the ground floor and in a disabled room and their bathroom was therefore not nice. In addition, the walls were paper thin and we could hear the television on both sides at different points in the morning which disturbed our sleep and lie in. The experience was not worth what we paid. I’ve been twice below and stayed in upper floors before and not had this experience. Very disappointed.

5* setting, 4* facilities &...
Liked: Loved the stunning grounds & house The outside pool & the spa facilities were very good
Disliked: The room was tired and shabby & in definite need of a total refurbishment from paintwork, threadbare carpet, bathroom & fixtures/ furniture The food was bad so we skipped lunch & went out for dinner. We ordered poached eggs on first day and all 5 were rock hard & clearly reheated. The food was very poor & the staff seemed overwhelmed..though most did their best to smile

We stayed for 2 nights...
Disliked: The large double bed was two single beds pushed together .No topper available .No feather pillows .Very run down room more like a travel lodge. The staff were very poor and seemed ill informed .The spa was crowded no beds available and the hot tub was a cold tub !So disappointed and definitely will not be rushing to stay again .
