Liked: The room was spacious with enough privacy. The location didn't offer much but the breakfast at the restaurant/cafe downstairs was excellent.
Disliked: The service was slow at the restaurant/cafe which delayed our check-out.

Great find - right in...

Liked: Arrived to hotel and was greeted by a very friendly staff person, explained everything about the property to us in full and made sure we were happy with the accomodations before completing booking. Stayed in a suite, which had two big rooms - looking over the 2nd floor terrace. Room was nice and cool with air conditioning - this was really needed as it was very hot when we arrived. Beds were big and comfy. Hotel was very clean and restored nicely.
Disliked: Would have preferred to be away from the elevator as you can hear the chime when it goes up and down. The building is very old and doesn't have the best sound proofing, this did not bother us on this stay as it was a quiet night. There was a family function happening in the basement - which was quite loud if you were on the main floor and trying to enjoy the lobby - but they were wrapped up by 11pm. Nothing happening in the ballroom - which we were happy about as that would have been loud in our room as it was overlooking the terrace which gets used when Ballroom rented out. Def enquire prior to booking. Hotel provided earplugs which was a nice touch, I used them and it helped with the trains going by every hour - I didn't get woken once with the earplugs so had a very restful sleep.
