Our stay was perfect for...

Liked: We had an amazing view of the lake and the pool was perfect to dip in too cool down as it was quiet hot, the spa was perfect for us to relax in while looking at the beautiful lake view. The size of the 2 bedroom unit was just right for us. The bathroom perfect size. It is a bonus to have an oven in there too so we were able to grill out bacon in the morning for breakfast with again that beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed our stay snd next time we visit we want to go kayaking as there are some at the complex too hire. Thank you
Disliked: The place has so much potential. An upgrade in the rooms would bring it back to life as the carpet was worn and had that damp smell but we just opened up the doors for fresh air. The playground especially the tramp would look much better with out the safety net as it’s broken and makes the playground look rough looking. Walls are not sound proof so we could hear running in the next apartment as they were going in and out of their room, running right up too midnight and we ended up knocking on the wall and that was enough to stop what ever they were doing in there. I think some people need to be more mindful of others who stay in the complex.

Clean but not maintained

Liked: Nice view
Disliked: Property needs alot of maintenance. Playground was unusable, there was blackberry growing everywhere. This place has so much potential to be way better.Our neighbors were extremely loud every night which was really frustrating. Not the motel owners fault

Could be an amazing place...

Liked: Nice location at edge of lake. The two bedroom unit was great for the 4 of us.
Disliked: In need of some care and upgrades. Worn carpet, dirty windows. Gardens in need of weeding and tidying. Old outdoor furniture. The trout flies are a problem too.

Great family motel

Liked: We loved the staff, and the rooms were very nice, comfortable and spacious.
Disliked: The pool is nice but needs a regular clean. The playground needs a fix up also. The grounds have great potential.

Disappointing

Liked: Beautiful spot right on the lake.
Disliked: Gardens and outdoor area, including playground was very run down and uninviting.

Did a job but wouldnt...

Liked: The location is great, right on the bank of lake rotorua. Also close to local amenities.
Disliked: The place hasn’t seen an upgrade in many years. The sofa was covered with a towel due it falling apart. The pool was dirty and the solar heating is literally falling apart. The childrens play was overgrown with weeds. The worst part was the swarms of trout fly that invaded the room. Despite keeping all of the windows and doors closed when the lights were on, the room was filled.

It was fine for one...

Liked: Lakeside spot so nice for a stroll. Close to the airport.
Disliked: Staff member that checked me in was very rude.Very noisy between rooms because of the wooden structure, I could hear the units both side of me get up in the night and stomp around, slept with noise cancelling headphones.
